Stay in the Glow: Why Your Treatment Cycle Really Matters

At SkinCAN, I am dedicated to helping you achieve powerful, long-term results — not just quick fixes.

One of the most important (and often overlooked) parts of your treatment success is timing. Your Contour, Journey, or Transformation Cycle has been carefully designed to work with your skin’s natural rhythm, and that’s why we recommend treatments every 3 to 5 weeks depending on your personalised plan.

Why that matters and what changes we’re introducing to protect your results.

Why Skin Works Best on a Schedule

Your skin naturally renews itself in cycles — usually every 28 to 38 days. When you follow your treatment plan within this window, each session builds on the last, allowing us to work with your biology for the most effective, visible and long-lasting improvements.

When too much time passes between treatments, your skin falls out of this renewal rhythm. Instead of progressing forward, we’re having to restart or intensify — which leads to deeper work, more intensity, and a different kind of treatment.

Boost Treatments: What They Are and Why They Matter

Going forward, any treatments booked outside of your advised cycle will now be charged as a Boost Treatment.

This is not a penalty — it reflects the extra time, work and treatment depth required to help your skin recover the progress that was lost by missing the cycle.

Think of it like working with a personal trainer: if you miss sessions, your next workout has to be harder to catch up — and that’s exactly how SkinCAN works too.

What This Means for You

  • If you stay on cycle (every 3–5 weeks) — you continue to enjoy SkinCAN VIP pricing and the cumulative benefits of progressive treatments.

  • If you go beyond your cycle — your appointment will be upgraded to a Boost Treatment, charged accordingly.

This approach protects your investment and ensures you’re always receiving what your skin genuinely needs, not just what’s scheduled.

The Same Applies to Maintenance Boosts like CIT

Treatments like CIT (Collagen Induction Therapy) are designed to be performed regularly as part of your skin’s deeper maintenance.

If they aren’t kept up within the advised timeframe, they too will be classed as Boosted Treatments, as more intense stimulation will be required to re-activate progress.

SkinCAN Promise: We’re Here to Support You

I completely understand that life happens — holidays, illness or unexpected commitments can mean rescheduling.

That’s okay. I am here to work with you. But for transparency and the sake of your results, these updated terms will now apply.

If you’re ever unsure when you’re due or how to get back on track, simply reach out. We’re always happy to guide you.

FAQs – Your Questions, Answered

Q: What if I’m on holiday or unwell and miss my cycle timing?

A: We get it! We’ll assess your skin at your next appointment and provide a treatment that meets your current needs. Just note it may be charged as a Boost if it’s outside the standard window.

Q: Can I still get great results if I’m not 100% consistent?

A: Yes — but consistency definitely accelerates and improves your outcome. Think of it like skincare at home: regular care outperforms occasional fixes.

Q: What exactly is a Boost Treatment?

A: A more intensive session tailored to skin that’s outside its optimal regeneration phase. It requires deeper work and more active recovery stimulation.

Q: How do I know when I’m due?

A: We’ll always guide you, but as a general rule, your next treatment should fall within 3–5 weeks. If you’re unsure, send us a quick message.

Q: What’s the benefit of staying on cycle?

A: You get faster results, sustained improvements, and VIP pricing. Your skin stays in a beautiful flow of regeneration and repair.
